PETE’S PRESS RELEASE WORKSHOPS

PETE’S PRESS RELEASE WORKSHOPS teach producers and performers how to do their own press.

What is a press release? What goes into a press release? How do you get press to read them and post them? HOW DO YOU DO THIS?! These topics will be tackled at Pete's fun, interactive, idea-generating Zoom workshop which will empower you to create and send your own press releases. We'll discuss how to create engaging press releases, the different types, generating press-worthy ideas, and figuring out how to reach your audience. We'll discover effective ways to get the word out about your show, song, product, event, etc. Plus, you'll receive access to press release templates and samples.

Pete's been doing press for his shows, indie performers, fringe performers, and small theater companies for over 15 years which have been featured in The New York Times, TimeOut, and just about everywhere in-between. You'll leave this workshop with the tools to do it yourself.

Workshops happen every other month on Zoom. Email Pete here for info on upcoming workshops.

RAVES & ENDORSEMENTS

“Peter Michael Marino is hands down the most engaged and committed PR professional I've ever worked with. He is thoughtful, creative and enthusiastic. One of the things I appreciated the most about Peter was his highly communicative style; from brainstorming pitch ideas together and planning outreach timelines, to giving me frequent updates about his progress. I always felt well taken care of as both an artist and a producer. Peter operates with integrity. I recommend him to any theatre professional!” - Melissa Moschitto, Founding Artistic Director The Anthropologists

“Peter Michael Marino is absolutely great to work with. He gave me a timeline to work with and created our press release. He took care of all the listings and continued to get new listings for us throughout our run; he got us a podcast interview; he got reviewers to come (which helped us tremendously because of positive reviews); and he got us an interview in Forbes. He was extremely supportive throughout the whole process. I can’t recommend him enough! - Billie Andersson, Artistic Director of Shakespeare Downtown

“Peter Michael Marino's mind works in incredible ways! He created innovative, fun, on-line content that not only drove audiences to our play, but resulted in a huge uptick in our social media. Peter only takes on projects that he believes in, so when he signs on to promote your project, you get 100% of his focus and PR wizardry.” - Laura Fois, Managing Director UP Theater Company

“Peter presented a practical and tactical workshop that made the process of writing a press release clear and simple. His presentation style is fun, easy to follow and accessible for folks who have any level of Public Relations know-how.” - Amy Kweskin, Intersection for the Arts

"IndieSpace is always overjoyed when we get the opportunity to collaborate with Peter Michael Marino. His workshop was the perfect balance of informative, fun, and personalized and was one of the most highly anticipated professional development workshops we hosted this year. Peter's knowledge about PR in the theatrical industry is robust and makes him a no-brainer choice to lead your next workshop, speaker series, or class." - Brea Clemons, Operations Manager Indie Space
